
Precision gold plated copper or copper alloy waveguide twists with frequency coverage from 75 GHz to 1.1 THz. Specifically fabricated for THz applications, these 90 deg waveguide twists feature rugged waveguide sections combined to achieve 90 deg rotation angle with minimal reflections and low loss. Also available are electro-formed 'shim' twists (photo) which may be inserted in a waveguide assembly for space saving and even lower loss. Fitted with IEEE 1785.2 flanges above 300 GHz for lowest loss and minimal reflection.

1. New waveguide definitions are in use above 110 GHz, as defined by IEEE standards up to 1.1 THz.
2. Units above 110 GHz are machined from solid brass and gold plated.
3. There are variations in industry 'standard' flanges. Above 300 GHz dowel pins as per IEEE 1785.2 are fitted unless otherwise requested.
4. Waveguide WR03 historically covers 220-325 GHz, whereas the new standard WM-864 extends coverage to 220 – 330 GHz
5. Standard waveguide twists are 25 mm long and machined in solid brass gold plated. Custom lengths and materials are available to order.
